Extraordinary fact
By 16 to 17 months the bones in your toddlers forearm & wrist fully develop and along with their new co-ordination skills, it makes it easier for the contents of a spoon to be lifted to the mouth with more precision.

We are sailing
- move
- learn
- grow

- Time:
- 20 mins
- Place:
- Doesn't matter
- Need:
- Sticky tape, colourful paper, drinking straw, margarine tub, scissors, colouring pens
Firstly, make your boat. Cut 2 identical triangle shapes of paper and let your little one colour it in. Then stick one each side of the straw to make a sail. Next, cut little slits at the bottom of the straw and bend out the plastic. Simply stick these ends down to the middle of the marg. tub and you have a boat!
You can set sail in anything from a washing up bowl to the bath. Or if it’s a nice day, why not launch your boat in a safe stream or paddling pool. If you make a few boats, you could have a race!
