A washing up bowl, some coloured plastic balls or cups, a waterproof table cloth

If your little one’s big on water, they’ll jump at the chance to have a splash around! Whatever the weather, a washing up bowl full of warm water and a selection of plastic balls or cups to play with can bring a sunny smile to their face. Just fill up your bowl to get started!

They’ll love watching the balls bob up and down, while scooping and pouring the water is great fun, especially if mummy gets splashed in the process! If you set up your splish splash station inside, it’s a good idea to put a waterproof table cloth on the floor before the fun starts. Otherwise your carpet might take a soaking! If you don’t fancy mopping up afterwards, head out to the garden – when it’s warm enough! Remember to always keep an eye on your toddler while they’re playing with water and never leave them unattended.
