Working from home with kids

We know that while everyone is in lockdown, many will be worrying about how to manage working from home whilst looking after children. We’ve put together some handy tips and tricks that should help make this challenging time that little bit easier!

9 top tips for working from home with kids during Coronavirus lockdown

Check in to see if you need to re-think your daily schedule, start by:

Bringing everyone to the table (partners, children, grandparents) to come up with a plan, that way everyone feels included.

Find out what you and your children will need during this time, and how each person could help out to share the load.

Assign tasks and maybe offer children rewards to make it fun.

Be careful not to overload yourself by trying to do it all – remember, you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to be a parent!

Looking for ways to delegate more?  Kids love to get involved, so get them to help with some of the lighter tasks around the house.

Be open to trying new things with your children, now’s the time!

Self-care is key, make sure to take some time for yourself.

We are social creatures and thrive on touch. Although it is imperative to practise social distancing and isolation as recommended by WHO, we can still compensate by getting those hugs and cuddles from the loved ones you’re surrounded by during this time.

And remember to trust your instincts and try to stay positive!
