Hey everyone :) , just find out ...It's a girl. It's my firs child and I am very excited about everything. Due date is 1th of April. First trimester was fine no nausea or sicknesses so I can say I was lucky. Getting tired very easy now and I feel sleepy especially in the morning. Any recommendations for where to go for antenatal courses ? Have a great evening !
    • Kerry2rock

Hi Dumitrumv, congrats on the news of a little girl! We're hopefully finding out on Wed :) Midwife recommended antenatal classes that are offered by NHS at all the local children's centre. I mentioned Nct classes as a friend had really rated them but she said they were exactly the same content as the free nhs ones but you pay between £100-200 for them...they can be more of a social thing as they go on for longer so it depends what you're looking for. We've decided to go for the nhs ones as we'd rather use that money to spend on items for baby/nursery! :-)

Hi all, I'm new to the site...currently 15wks +4dys and feeling generally better than the first 12 weeks! Due 26th April :-) How is everyone feeling? Is anyone else really thirsty?! X
    • amielouie

Hi. I'm due on 27th April and also had a really rough first trimester. I'm also feeling a lot more human now but am always thirsty and am starting to get a lot of back pain even though I'm not that big yet. Really excited for my 20 week scan now. Will you be finding out the gender? x

    • Kerry2rock

Glad you're feeling much better too! I'm not really showing yet (I can tell but not visible to others) but also getting a bit of back pain. It generally depends on if I'm not sitting well or leaning over tables a lot (at work) I guess keep resting. When is your next scan? I'm booked in for 6th Dec, can't wait either! Partner would like to know gender, I've always thought I'd like a surprise but the more we see things out and about the more I'm tempted to agree with him. How about you? X

    • Naomij17

Hi I'm new to the site. I'm currently 17 weeks + 2 days and due 25th April 2018. Sickness and nausea has been horrendous but starting to wear off a little since i have been back at work . Got my 20 week scan on 6th December hoping to find out gender too x

    • Kerry2rock

Naomij17 glad that your sickness is starting to wear off! Just wondering whether people at this stage (17/18 weeks) are starting to buy/prepare much at the mo? We've bought the odd outfit and handy essentials but not really looked into furniture, prams...much else! x

    • Naomij17

Kerry2rock Thankyou I'm glad sickness is wearing off a bit too. I'm 18 weeks in 2 days but due to losing baby at 23 weeks before I haven't bought any thing for this baby yet. I will be 23 weeks at Christmas so will start buying essentials from then . I always tempted to get little bits but waiting until I get passed the 23 weeks stage . Xx

    • Kerry2rock

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this Naomij17, I can see why you want to wait until then. Are the hosp/doctors checking on you more often this pregnancy? x
