Can teething put them off there food

My 7 month old girl....Has just cut her first tooth in the last few days...She is off all her food including her milk...im just wondering if this is down to her teething. Normally she has porridge in the morning followed by a bottle....For Lunch a sovory and sweet followed by cool boiled water and for dinner savory followed by a bottle and a bottle b4 bed. At the moment all i can get down her is her porridge and bed time bottle :( she isnt interested in anything else only picking a little and then completely refusing it and im worried she isnt getting enough.
Any ideas?

My 6 month old is teething at the moment too, she went off her food for a few days and was really miserable with it, but you think about it when we get tooth ache or sore gums the last thing we want to do is eat. Try her with some teething gel or calpol before she eats to see if that works.

i agree with last post, my daughter was the same and we used to give her calpol b4 her dinner and teething gel b4 every meal and bottle. it works i.ll be doing the same with my son when he starts teething

Hi my daughter cut both her bottom teeth at the same time. She went completly off her food and seemed to fine bottle feeding really uncomfortable. Health vistor said as long as she still has fluid a day wont do any harm.
Teething gel did seem to help a little.

Thanx for the advice i will give it a go...I have been using teething gel and calpol but not b4 meals so i will try it 2 moz ..She seemed a bit better this evening maybe the worse is over (with this tooth neway)
