Hi, I agree with the previous reply completely. The danger period is definitely over by 6 months and it is actually far safer for your baby to be in her own cot than in your bed.We kept our baby son in a crib by the side of our bed for the first six months and I was very nervous about putting him in his own cot as it meant him being in a different room, but he absolutely loves it. He has lots of room to move around and can play in it for ages when he wakes up. As previously said, put your daughter in feet to foot position and I would also highly recommend grobags as it doesn't matter if they move around. a lot. Just keep an eye on the temperature of the room and adjust the clothing as necessary and ideally if the baby is in a non-smoking environment, then you have no problems at all. Good luck!
