Hi there. Stick with what you are doing and a routine may well develop on its own. I was totally baby led with my girl who is 17 weeks now and by 6 weeks we had a good routine going which just sort of happened with a bit of encouragement from me. Try the EASY approach so after they feed (Eat) do some sort of Activity, which includes nappy changes, getting them dressed, undressed, talking to them, time in their play gym, etc, then let them Sleep, at which point you have time for You, which for me was sleep in the early days and sometimes still is. I totally agree with the bedtime routine, it doesn't have to be too rigid and keep it simple. I use the baby sleeping bags and have done from 3 weeks and getting baby changed and into one of them is a good part of the bed time routine as she knows the sleeping bag means bed, not just a nap. If you can go with your baby now, he will most likely be a lot happier and hopefully easier to ease into a more fixed routine later on.
