Hi, I am a bit confused about teething, my baby girl's 2 little bottom teeth came through at least 3 weeks ago with no problems at all (she had had the red cheeks but didn't seem to be in any pain). But now I think she maybe struggling with pain, she is waking up at night crying and if I put my finger in her mouth she bites down on it really hard. It takes quite a while to soothe her but calpol usually does the trick - so is this teething? I presumed the painful part was when they cut through not afterwards?

Also she seems to be fine when awake no signs of pain, only when sleeping - is this normal for teething?
