Hia. My baby Sam does the same thing, although he is bottle fed. As soon as the bottle is empty and I take it away, he screams for a minute or two, then stops and is fine ! I mentioned it to my health visitor, as I thought about increasing his milk, but he is on 3 x 8oz and 1 x9oz bottles per day and we introduced solids 4 weeks ago, so it is not that he is hungry. I think it is a comfort thing. When a baby has their bottle, or breast, it makes them content and when it is taken away it upsets them. I asked my health vis why he didnt used to do this when he was younger and she said when they get a bit older - sam is 5 1/2 months, they understand more of what is going on around them and can get upset at little things like that. I would persevere, im sure they will grow out of it and it may also be that they have a bit of wind in their tummy. Have you tried winding him half way through feeding?
