Breast to Bottle Advice

Hi there. Just wondering if it's possible to move from the breast to a bottle (assuming baby is ok with bottles)straight away or whether it should be done gradually - not so much for the mother but from the baby's health point of view. Also, when switching between formulas, again, should this be done gradually or can it be done straight away. This is for a baby who is a bad colic sufferer. Thanks!
