Switching from teat to spout

My 8 mth old now has 4 teeth so I am trying to wean him off his Avent teats and onto spouts. He obviously gets his stubborness from me as he'd rather knock the bottle away rather than drink thru one. I've tried taking out the plastic bung so he realises the milk is there (or juice) but he's having none of it, it's teat or nothing! I had no problems converting my eldest (8 years ago!) but the Avent spouts were different then and they didn't have to suck quite so hard. I've now got quite a collection of cups ranging from a soft spout Boots one to Tommy Tippee. Any suggestions welcome, I can't let him win, my honour is on the line!
