what time of day is best foe solids?

I started weaning my daughter at 10 weeks after reading comments on here as she was very hungry.
I began by feeding a small amount of baby porridge in the mornings. She is 12 weeks now and feel she is ready for solids twice a day. Should I try at teatime or early evening? is this too late?
