which cup to use?

i have been told to avoid the non-spill variety of cups. due to the fact they are not good for teeth and dont teach your child to drink from a proper cup and its just like having a bottle. i only found one free flow cup in boots and mothercare by tommee tippee.

also when you are in somebody elses house you dont want your baby messing up the place, so would you have a non spill just for taking out?

i was looking at a cup by "vital" which looked good, anybody used the 4month+ one?
baby not ready for cup yet,im planning ahead and also heard its good for baby to try to learn to hold one even before its time to use one xx
