I am not sure, but I think it is probably tied in with indigestion. I am expecting twins and one of them is nestled right up under my rib cage, which results in me getting quite a lot of acid indigestion. Along with this though I have experienced a lot more wind and this can smell like what I have eaten (yuck, what a topic!), particularly not a good thing when you have been good and had your weekly mackerel!
Try some Gaviscon (or the Rennie chewable tablets, they taste nice) as this will settle your stomach and (hopefully) help out with the wind situation.
