Low iron levels

Hi everyone,

I am currently 31+4 weeks and received a letter from the hospital this morning telling me that my iron levels were low, and I needed to go back and have another test done. I am a bit worried as although I know anemia is common during pregnancy, and the doc gives you iron tablets to help, but surely if this was the case I wouldn't need to go back and have another test done as they'd already know?

I am probably getting worried over nothing, but has anyone else been in this situation that can give me some advice please?
