I've always suffered with body image issues. I was extremely overweight as a child and horrendously bullied as a result so my whole adult life has been one constant diet!! I finally settled on being a comfortable size 12 before getting pregnant and felt really at ease with my body. However, when I got pregnant I piled on the pounds really quickly - gaining about a stone by the time I was 12 weeks! My weight has settled down again now and at 25 weeks preg, I feel comfortable as I have suddenly stopped feeling fat!!
But these soaps really do us women no good. I am getting married 5 months after giving birth (!) and feel an enormous pressure already as my husband to be keeps saying "you'll lose it all no problems" - But I know its not that easy! For example, I've been advised not to diet until 6 weeks after giving birth!
Why don't they give us some realistic role models for a change!!!
