placenta previa

I was told i had a low lying placenta at my 22 week scan, but that they generally move with your uterus. I was booked in for a re scan at 36 weeks, but at week 35 i had a bleed (last week). I was admitted and scanned which confirmed my placenta had not moved and that i now have placenta previa. i have been booked in for a c-section in 2 weeks (at week 38)and was reluctanctly discharged from hospital. (i hated being there!) I have been warned that i could re-bleed and it could be very heavy so must be rushed to hospital. It would appear i am the minority where the placenta does not shift. I am at home worried in case i do re-bleed and wonder whether i should have stayed at hospital.

Has anyone nelse had a similar incident?
