Urine Test +Protein

Hi all,

I'm 29 weeks first pregnancy and am being monitored every fortnight at hospital (for gestational diabetes).

Anyway, for the first time, my urine results came back as +1 protein rather than the usual NAD result. I was told not to worry and to return as usual in 2 weeks. I can't help but worry, with immediate thoughts of pre eclampsia.

How common is protein in urine samples, have any of you ladies had a protein sample that turned out not to be pre eclampsia? Is this more common than I imagine, or am I starting to slippery slope to pre eclampsia?

Any input much appreciated.
