Cooking time: 12 minutes


  • 1 ripe pear
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 60ml of your baby’s usual milk (optional)


  1. Peel, core and quarter pear. Cut each quarter into 3 smaller pieces.
  2. Gently cook in a saucepan with 4 tbsp of water, covered, for 10−12 mins, until soft. Stir occasionally.
  3. Cool slightly, then blend with a food processor or hand blender. If you want, add a little of your baby’s usual milk to get a smooth texture.
